Kimmy GraceDo you ever wonder why you end up where you end up or love what you love? Yeah, me too. At the age of 12, Kimmy Grace came to the decision that no matter what, whatever she decided to do with her life it must incorporate music and the arts. So, naturally she grew up to pursue studies in the graphic design field; those studies were short lived though. Kimmy had come to realize that designing artwork for bands was great, but it was not as hands on and direct as she’d like. So utilizing her design knowledge and self-starter attitude Kimmy created her first music blog. She took to writing about and promoting many of her friends who were in bands within the Brooklyn, NY area. Where this would all lead to? She really had no idea. She just knew things were starting to feel right.Over a year has passed since then… In that time, Kimmy put an end to her first music blog to start her new one, The Sour Mash Blog. She’s managed to build a growing network featuring dozens of up and coming bands, went from writing about live shows to taking part in booking/producing shows of her own and most recently began the task of managing bands. Utilizing her specific view and standing within the local New York music scene, Kimmy is able to give in-depth personal views on many of the bands/shows/music she writes about. Sometimes throwing out special little facts straight from the band themselves that you can’t get anywhere else. Now, where will it all go from here? Let’s wait and see.

Evelin Hernandez
Studied Film and TV direction in Barcelona, her home city. When she finished her studies (before finishing) she realized that she did not wanted to direct films, she wanted to create the film’s aesthetic. So she started studying stage and costume design, there she realized that she was in the right place.
In 2010 she moved to Berlin where she knew that there was lot’s of interesting opportunities to work in film and theater. There she worked in theater creating spaces for stories and concepts.
Her interest in fashion took her to start working as a stylist for fashion photography. Her main goal after all is to create aesthetics that has a concept or a story behind of it, does not matter how, through the space or clothes, the fact is creation itself.

Having been influenced by some abrupt changes of mentality and techniques throughout the bachelor’s and the master’s studies, I have by today reached a point of recognition for myself, where the priorities of my profession have become clear. The questions that have strongly influenced my work, have changed by time, and lead me once again to establishing the significance of painting. Having constantly set new goals for myself has led me to discover that the most important question, that can be asked to motivate oneself is not, “what do i expect of art?“ but rather “what does art expect of me?“.
Positioning oneself in the community has been a difficult task for every evolving artsit, and the means for doing that have varied over time. Accordingly, one can not decide over the ultimate meaning of art, one can only seek it and hope to gain a clearer concept of it. In consequence, for a young and enthusiastic artist (like myself) that is searching for the truth, arriving in and being able to acquire an education in a so-called art-metropolis, where a multicultural influence forms a solid and diverse perspective, makes for an invaluable experience.
